About Me

My name is Anna Szot-Sacawa.  I am  an information addict, a totally infomazed case.  I work at the Bora Laskin Law Library, one of the great University of Toronto libraries.  I try to match the need for specific information expressed by people who walk into our library with the ocean of information we have available in all formats.

In my spare time I read (never enough), write (a bit) and think (quite a lot) about the future of information, education, knowledge,  and power.   I am often lost in these thoughts and see the truth in the dilemma of my favorite author and a librarian, Jorge Lois Borges, who “imagined that the library will be a kind of paradise.”  Instead, he found himself in a labyrinth….  and that was before we invented the Internet…
